Light Advent candles in the land of Israel with Dr. Nunnally & team, as he unpacks ancient prophecies of the birth of Jesus. We will visit villages, synagogues and travel ancient roads where Jesus & his disciples most likely lived, taught and traveled. Make plans to dig deeper into the Word of God, Biblical history & context and Israeli culture this Christmas season. Christ our Savior is Born!

Friday, November 28 - Day 1
Grab your passport & fly to Israel.
(Remember do not purchase airfare until trip is confirmed by email)
Saturday, November 29 - Day 2
Arrive in Israel & travel to your coastal hotel. Overnight on the Coast
Sunday, November 30 - Day 3 (1st Sunday of Advent)
We will start the day with a stop at Caesarea where we will focus on Peter, Paul and the early Church. Next, we head to Mt Carmel and address Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Nazareth & Mt Precipice will launch the journey of Joseph, Mary & Jesus. Overnight in Galilee @ Magdala Hotel
Monday, December 1 – Day 4
On our visit to Tel Dan, we will enjoy a hike through a nature preserve where we see the sources of the Jordan River, study Scripture, visit the high place of Dan and city gates from the time of Abraham and Jereboam. Then, the bus will carry us about two miles to Caesarea Philippi, the capital of Philip’s territory and discuss Peter’s great confession of faith. Next, we will visit a non-traditional site of Mark 5, Mitspeh Nuqeb & then on to water baptism in the Jordan River. Overnight @ Magdala
Tuesday, December 2 – Day 5
Today we will travel around the Sea of Galilee. We will be traveling to places visited by Jesus including Korazim & Capernaum, which was the home base of Jesus messianic ministry.
Now on to the Yigael Alon Museum which holds a 1st-century fishing boat from the Sea of Galilee, similar to the ones Jesus used. Next, we will participate in a Sea of Galilee boat ride that will help orient us to Biblical locations around the lake and allow us to travel the same body of water that Jesus referred to so many times in the Word.
Next, we will travel back to our hotel and engage the site of Magdala, homebase of Mary Magdalene & an ancient synagogue & trade route. Overnight @ Magdala Hotel
Wednesday, December 3 - Day 6
An early morning hotel departure & ride 2 hours down the Jordan Valley, will take us to the Judean Wilderness and Dead Sea area. This includes an ascent to the top of Masada – Herod’s greatest fortress, Qumran & the Dead Sea Scrolls caves, Kaliya Beach & a Dead Sea float and on to the Jerusalem-Jericho Road where we will recall the parable of the Good Samaritan. Then witness Jerusalem at night & make our way to the Mt of Olives. Overnight in Jerusalem @ Prima Kings
Thursday, Dec 4 - Day 7
Our first stop of the day is inside the Old City @ the Davidson Center, next to the Western Wall. The Southern Steps, Pinnacle of the Temple and other archeological discoveries are in this complex. Next, we take a short walk to the Western Wall to pray. The Jewish Quarter is a short walk where we will have lunch. Our final stop will be the City of David where we will see extensive excavations and hear engaging accounts of King David & Jerusalem, Hezekiah’s tunnel & pool of Siloam. Now to the Pools of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church. Overnight @ Prima Kings, Jerusalem
Friday, Dec 5 - Day 8 (Shabbat begins at sundown)
The Israel Museum, will be our first stop. A one-acre model of Jerusalem & the Temple in the time of Jesus, the Shrine of the Book which houses Israel’s Dead Sea Scrolls and possibly the archeological wing of the museum will be our focus.
Next, we will travel about 6 miles to Bethlehem, which includes Manger Square, the Church of the Nativity, Shepherds’ Field & an olivewood shop.
Our evening meal will be at the famous Notre Dame rooftop restaurant. Overnight @ Prima Kings
Saturday, Dec 6 - Day 9 (Shabbat until sundown)
Our morning begins at the Church of All Nations. Here, we visit the Garden of Gethsemane and discuss the arrest of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice.
We will enter the Old City through Jaffa gate and visit Herod’s & Pilate’s Palace /Tower of David Museum. Next, we will walk past the Gennath Gate through which Jesus was lead out of Jerusalem. This “walk” is on the historic Via Dolorosa to the Church of Holy Sepulchre/Resurrection, the historic location of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Our final stop of the day is the Garden Tomb where we will have communion and visit the empty tomb. Overnight @ Prima Kings
Sunday, Dec 7 - Day 10 (2nd Sunday of Advent)
After we check out of our hotel, we will travel to Jerusalem University College and unload our volunteer gifts and celebrate the second Sunday of Advent. The Upper Room is the next Sunday stop, then on to the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. After lunch, we travel to the Elah Valley and discuss David & Goliath. After our evening meal & airport arrival, you will board your evening or midnight flight to journey home. Depart Israel on Dec 7 from 9pm – 2am Dec 8.
Monday, Dec 8 - Day 11
Arrive home!
